Dual office: LHC resumes hearing today

(eNews.pk) - LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) will resume the hearing of contempt of court at the request of President dual office today (Monday).




A full court of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial receive the request.
During the last hearing, AK Dogar, counsel for the petitioner had stated that the High Courts and the Supreme Court could sentence an offender for committing contempt of court.

لاہور … صدر کے 2 عہدوں سے متعلق درخواست کی سماعت لاہور ہائی کورٹ میں آج پھر ہو گی۔ چیف جسٹس لاہور ہائیکورٹ کی سربراہی میں فل کورٹ متفرق درخواستوں کی سماعت کررہاہے، گزشتہ سماعت پر درخواست گزار وکیل اے کے ڈوگر نے دلائل دیئے اور موٴقف اختیار کیا کہ صدر یا کسی بھی شخص کو توہین عدالت پر استثنا حاصل نہیں۔ کیس کی مزید سماعت آج پھر ہو گی۔
