Dollar at new high vs. rupee
(eNews.pk) - KARACHI: Rupee touched a record low level at 87.50 against dollar in the inter-bank market—weakest ever thus far traded, truly reflecting the downbeat economy, Geo news reported.

Forex market dealers said that the rupee continues depreciating against the dollar, which was seen appreciated by 11 paisa to reach the new high at Rs87.50, showing about 1.5 percent appreciation in the value of dollar since the beginning of the current fiscal year thus far.

Economists said that crude oil payment, low foreign investment, gas and power loadshedding and above all the worse law and order situation in the largest commercial and industrial hub Karachi hitting industrial production, curtailing exports thereby dollar inflow all together have kept the rupee at the tenterhook.

کراچی…کمزور معیشت کی عکاسی کرتا کمزور روپیہ انٹر بینک مارکیٹ میں روپے کے مقابلے میں ڈالر نے تاریخ کی نئی بلند ترین سطح 87 روپے 50 پیسے کی سطح پر ٹریڈ ہوتے دیکھا گیا فاریکس مارکیٹ ڈیلرز کے مطابق ڈالر کے مقابلے روپے کی قدر میں گراوٹ کا سلسلہ جاری رہا اور ٹریڈنگ کے دوران روپے کے مقابلے میں ڈالر کی قدر 11 پیسے اضافے کے ساتھ 87 روپے 50 پیسے کی سطح پر آگئی اس طر ح رواں مالی سال کی ابتدا سے ڈالر کی قدر میں تقریبا 1.5 روپے کا اضافہ دیکھا گیا۔ اقتصادی ماہرین کے مطابق خام تیل کی ادئیگیاں اور غیر ملکی سرمایا کاری میں کمی کے علاوہ ملک کے سب سے بڑے صنعتی شہر کراچی میں بد امنی کے باعث ملکی برآمدات متاثر ہونے سے ڈالر کی رسد میں کمی آنے سے روپیہ عدم استحکام کا شکار ہے۔
