Delhi gang-rape suspects to appear in court today

(eNews.pk) - NEW DELHI: A group of men accused of repeatedly raping a 23-year-old on a moving bus in New Delhi in a deadly crime repelled the nation must appear in court on Thursday for the first time.




Police are to indict five suspected of rape, abduction and murder after the woman died over the weekend from the terrible wounds inflicted on her during an ordeal that has galvanized disgust on increasing sexual crimes in India.
It was unclear if a sixth suspect believed to be a child under age 17 appear in the district court in southern New Delhi Saket. Police have ordered a bone test to determine his age and whether he can be tried in adult court.
The men, mostly residents of the slums of New Delhi, will face the death penalty if convicted, Home Minister of India Sushilkumar Shinde has said, amid public outcry for execution.

نئی دلی…بھارتی دارالحکومت نئی دلی میں طالبہ سے زیادتی کے ملزمان کو آج عدالت میں پیش کیا جائے گا۔نئی دلی پولیس کے مطابق 5 ملزموں کو آج مقامی عدالت میں پیش کیا جائے گا اور اُن پر فرد جرم عائد کی جائے گی۔ چھٹے ملزم کی عمر چوں کہ 18 سال سے کم ہے اس لیے اُس کے خلاف مقدمہ ممکنہ طور پر بچوں کی عدالت میں چلایا جائے گا۔ ملزمان نے نئی دلی کی ایک طالبہ سے چلتی بس میں اجتماعی زیادتی کی تھی اور اس پر تشدد کیا تھا۔ متاثرہ لڑکی کئی روز تک زندگی اور موت کی کشمکش میں مبتلا رہنے کے بعد گزشتہ ہفتے سنگاپور کے اسپتال میں چل بسی تھی۔ نئی دلی کے وکلا نے ملزمان کی پیروی سے انکار کردیا ہے جس کے بعد عدالت ان کے لیے سرکاری وکیل مقرر کرے گی۔ پولیس کے مطابق جرم ثابت ہونے پر ملزمان کو سزائے موت سنائی جاسکتی ہے۔
