Cyclone threat ruled out by Met Office

(eNews.pk) - KARACHI: The Meteorological Department has ruled out any threat of cyclone to the coastal areas of Sindh and Balochistan province.

According to its announcement here on Friday evening, it said that depression would still persist in Northeast Arabian Sea 600 km south east of Karachi.

"Its chances to intensify further into a Tropical Cyclone are meager at present," the Met office said in its report.

However, under the influence of this depression, widespread rain associated with gusty wind are also expected along Sindh coast from Sunday to Tuesday and along Balochistan coast from Monday to Wednesday.

The sea conditions have already become rough in Northeast Arabian Sea, and the fishermen of Sindh are advised not to venture in open sea from Saturday to Tuesday.

However, the fishermen of Balochistan may continue their activities up to Sunday.

کراچی…بحیرہ عرب میں سائیکلون کاخطرہ موجودہے لیکن سندھ اور بلوچستان میں ممکنہ سمندری طوفان کا خطرہ ٹل گیاہے، جس کے باعث سندھ میں موسلادھار بارشوں کے امکانات بھی ختم ہوگئے ہیں۔محکمہ موسمیات کاکہناہیکہ بلوچستان کے ماہی گیرمعمول کی سرگرمیاں جاری رکھ سکتے ہیں۔ محکمہ موسمیات کے مطابق ہوا کا کم دباوٴ کراچی کے جنوب میں 550 کلومیٹر کے فاصلے پر موجود ہے تاہم اگلے 36 گھنٹوں میں اس کا رخ شمال مغرب کی جانب ہوگا۔ سندھ کے جنوبی علاقوں میں تیز ہواووں کے ساتھ اتوار اور پیر کو کہیں کہیں بارش کی توقع ہے۔جب کہ صوبہ بلوچستان میں بارشوں کے امکانا ت نہیں ہیں۔محکمہ موسمیات کے مطابق سمندری لہروں سے بچنے کے لئے سندھ کے ماہی گیر دو دن تک احتیاط کریں
