COAS Kayani visits Panakot, Dir

(eNews.pk) - RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, visited Panakot, Dir Friday. According to a ISPR press release, the COAS was briefed on the latest situation in Dir, with special emphasis on the measures adopted against the threat posed by criminals who operate from safe havens across the border.




By interacting with the officers and soldiers, who praised their high morale and sense of sacrifice.
COAS Kayani also met with local elders and thanked them for their support, emphasizing the need for a lasting partnership between the Army and local people to restore full normalcy in the area. He categorically stated that the Army is committed to bringing peace and development in the area.

دير… آرمي چيف جنرل اشفاق پرويز کياني نے دير ميں پاک افغان سرحد کے اگلے مورچوں کا دورہ کرتے ہوئے وہاں متعين فوجيوں کي جراء ت اور بہادري کو سراہا اور کہاکہ دفاع وطن کيلئے قربانياں، تاريخ کا روشن باب ہيں . عسکري ذرائع کے مطابق جنرل اشفاق کياني نے اپر دير ميں اگلے مورچوں کا دورہ کيا اور وہاں سرحد پار سے آنے والے حملہ آوروں کو پسپا کرنے والے فوجيوں کو سراہا،مقامي کمانڈر نے آرمي چيف کا وہاں آنے پر استقبال کيا اور علاقہ سے متعلق بريفنگ بھي دي، آرمي چيف نے ان سے خطاب ميں کہاکہ دہشت گردي کے خلاف اور دفاع وطن کيلئے فوج کي قربانياں تاريخ کا روشن حصہ ہيں، انہوں نے کہاکہ سوات ميں قيام امن کيلئے فوج کو عوامي حمايت ، قابل ستائش ہے.
