COAS Kayani visits North Waziristan

(eNews.pk) - RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, visited Miran Shah, North Waziristan on Friday.




According to a ISPR press release, the arrival of the army chief was briefed on the current operational and development activities pursued by the Army, in collaboration with local government.
By interacting with the troops involved in the operation, COAS praised the sacrifices and efforts in combating the threat of terrorism.

راولپنڈي… آرمي چيف جنرل اشفاق پرويز کياني نے شمالي وزيرستان کے علاقے ميران شاہ کا دورہ کيااور دہشت گردي کے خلاف آپريشن ميں شريک فوجي جوانوں سے بھي ملاقات کي. ميران شاہ پہنچنے پر کمانڈر پشاور کورليفٹيننٹ جنرل خالد رباني نے آرمي چيف کا استقبال کيا. آئي ايس پي آر کے مطابق اس موقع پر انہيں علاقے ميں فوج کي جانب سے مقامي انتظاميہ کي مدد سے جاري آپريشنل اور ترقياتي سرگرميوں پر بريفنگ دي گئي. آرمي چيف نے علاقے ميں جاري آپريشن ميں شريک فوجي جوانوں سے ملاقات بھي کي اور دہشت گردي کے خلاف ان کي کوششوں اور قربانيوں کو سراہا.
