Attacks in Iraq, 88 including 11 troops killed

(eNews.pk) - BAGHDAD: A wave of more than 30 attacks across Iraq killed 88 people and injured more than 400 on Saturday and Sunday, security and medical sources said, with the security forces and among the target market.




The latest violence brings the number of people who died this month to 118, according to an AFP tally.
While insurgents against the Baghdad government is considered to be weaker than last year, they are still launching capabilities periodic mass-casualty attacks across the country.
The latest assaults come as Iraq Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi was sentenced in absentia on Sunday to hang for murder, though started killing time before the sentence was handed down.
In the deadliest attack, two car bombs exploded in a market on Sunday near the Imam Ali al-Sharqi shrine in southern Iraq, a security official said.

بغداد … عراق میں متعدد خودکش حملوں میں 11فوجیوں سمیت 88سے زائد افراد ہلاک اور درجنوں زخمی ہو گئے ہیں۔ ذرائع ابلاغ کی رپورٹس کے مطابق عراقی شہر عمارہ میں ایک مزار اور ایک مارکیٹ میں دو مختلف کار دھماکوں کے نتیجہ میں کم ازکم 16افراد ہلاک ہو گئے جبکہ 16فوجیوں سمیت ایک سو سے زائد افراد زخمی ہوئے ہیں۔ دومیل کے علاقے میں ایک فوجی چوکی پر فائرنگ اور کار بم حملے میں 11فوجی ہلاک اور سات زخمی ہوئے ہیں۔ سرکوک میں ایک تیل کمپنی کے دفتر میں پولیس گارڈ کی ملازمت کے لئے آنے والوں پر کار کے ذریعے خودکش حملے میں 8افراد ہلاک ہو گئے۔ کرکوک میں ایک اور کار اور ایک موٹر سائیکل کے ذریعے کرائم انویسٹی گیشن کے دفتر کے سامنے خودکش حملوں میں 7افراد ہلاک اور 40زخمی ہو گئے۔ یعقوبہ، سمارہ ، بصیرہ اور ملک کے دیگر علاقوں میں متعدد دھماکوں میں متعدد افراد ہلاک اور زخمی ہوئے ہیں۔
