Army to be deployed at ballot printing presses

(eNews.pk) - ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to deploy army personnel in Pakistan Printing Corporation of Pakistan Press, offices Islamabad / Lahore and Pakistan Security Printing Corporation, Karachi, to oversee the printing of ballots, reported Geo news.




Pakistan Army would provide security printing process to the distribution of ballots, according to a statement.
According to the statement, a letter was written to the Pakistan Army in this regard.

کراچی… الیکشن کمیشن نے بیلٹ پیپرز کی چھپائی کے دوران پرنٹنگ کارپوریشن کے دفاتر میں فوج کی تعیناتی کا فیصلہ کیا ہے۔ کراچی،لاہور اور اسلام آباد میں پرنٹنگ کارپوریشن کے دفاتر میں 13 اپریل سے انتخابی عمل مکمل ہونے تک فوج تعینات رہے گی۔ الیکشن کمیشن نے بیوروکریسی تبدیل نہ کرنے پر خیبر پختونخوا اور بلوچستان کی نگراں حکومتوں سے سات روز میں وضاحت مانگ لی ہیجبکہ سوئی نادرن اور سوئی سدرن کے منیجنگ ڈائریکٹرز کی مدت ملازمت میں توسیع کا نوٹس لیتے ہوئے انھیں فوری طور پرہٹانے کی ہدایت کی ہے۔ ڈائریکٹر جنرل الیکشن کمیشن سید شیر افگن کی جانب سے سیکریٹری پیٹرولیم کو لکھے گئے خط میں کہا گیا ہے کہ دونوں کی مدت ملازمت میں توسیع انتخابا ت قریب آنے پرکی گئی ہے جوانتخابات کی شفافیت پر اثر انداز ہوسکتی ہے۔
