Accused plead culpable in Ohio bomb plot

(eNews.pk) - AKRON: A suspect accused of plotting to bomb a highway bridge in Ohio has pleaded guilty in the first of three expected guilty pleas in the case.




The FBI has said that the public was never in danger, even though they say the target was a highway bridge over the Cuyahoga Valley National Park between Cleveland and Akron.
Connor Stevens of Berea in a suburb of Cleveland pleaded guilty to all three counts against him Wednesday in Akron for a federal judge.
Stevens was accused of conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction, a conscious attempt to create a weapon of mass destruction and attempt to property damage with explosives.
Two more guilty pleas were expected Wednesday. A fourth defendant pleaded guilty earlier this year.
That leaves a suspect may face trial. (AP)

واشنگٹن … امریکی ریاست اوہائیو میں ہائی وے پل کوبم دھماکے سے اڑانے کی منصوبہ بندی کرنے والے ایک اور ملزم نے اعتراف جرم کرلیا۔ غیرملکی خبرایجنسی کے مطابق ملزم کونر اسٹیونز سمیت 5 ملزمان پر ایکرن اور کلیو لینڈ کے درمیان ایک پل کو بم سے تباہ کرنے کی منصوبہ بندی کا الزام تھا۔ ملزم نے وسیع پیمانے پر تباہی پھیلانے اور دھماکے سے املاک کو نقصان پہنچانے کی کوشش کے 3 الزامات کے تحت اعتراف جرم کیا ہے۔ اس سے پہلے اسی کیس میں ایک اور ملزم اعتراف جرم کرچکا ہے، دیگر 2 ملزمان کو آج پیش کیا جائے گا جبکہ ایک ملزم نفسیاتی معائنے سے گزر رہا ہے۔
